SMOTHERS TUNED SUPERCARS
STS puts on one day, race oriented classes.....Topics range from Engine
building and Tuning, to rebuilding transmissions, to Suspension and Nitrous Classes. I've made a 160 minute video of the Engine Class. Check it out

We also build engines, transmissions, do
rearend swaps and nut and
bolt, ground up restifications.... The only things we don't
do in house are paint the cars (I farm that out to a good friend of
mine that primarily works on Musclecars) and the actual machine work on
the engines....... Pretty much everything else we do here at
my 9,000 square foot shop....
We can do anything from a simple, patented, signature series, Super
Tune, to a ground up restification, to putting together a 7 second
headsup 10.5 tire car..... and YES, we do work on other makes
than Chryslers..... I'm just known for having and working on Chryslers
because that's what I personally own, but all cars and motors are the
same to me. We even fire every motor up on our test stand, to
break the cam in the right way, set up the carburetor, and tune the
ignition curve to suit your motor. That way, if you're
installing the motor yourself, all you have to do is hook up the
ignition and get fuel to it.... There won't be anything for you to
worry about....
What's involved with the STS Super Tune, you ask? It involves curving
your distributor to your motor and setting up the carburetor with an
LM-1 O2 sensor to get the air/fuel ratio dialed in EXACTLY the way it
needs to be to make your motor happy.......
ENGINES
We build engines from mild, iron headed, pump gas motors with exhaust
manifolds guaranteed to run whatever ET and MPH you choose (NO motor
that I've built and rolls out of my shop door will run slower than
12.50 with slicks) to motors making 1000HP+.... We also do
nitrous systems making 100HP to 700HP that you can run RELIABLY without
fear of grenading your fresh bullet....We can install and set up the
nitrous and fuel system and dial it in for you.... Just let
me know how fast you want to go, and we'll get it there....
RESTIFICATIONS
The only thing we won't do is build a slow Muscle Car because there are
plenty of other Muscle Car restoration shops already doing that....You
won't get a car out of my shop that you'd be afraid to drive for fear
of it breaking down or not performing well, hence the
word SUPERcars instead of HOOPTYcars in my shop
name.... I use the word restification, because I
don't really care for the word "restoration" when referring to
the cars we work on.... In my mind, "RESTORATION" means to
put the car
back as it was.... That's not what we do.... The cars we do are nicer,
faster, and built with higher quality parts than ever thought of 40
years ago....
TRANSMISSIONS
When it comes to transmissions, I've got 22 years experience.... We can
do anything from a stock transmission in a Suburban, to a beefed up 518
to handle your Cummins hopped up power, to an all out 727 with billet
steel drum and reverse pattern valve body guaranteed to live behind
your power plant....
Suspensions
We can do anything from stock suspension rebuilds to installing tubular
upper control arms to gain caster and install heim joint strut rods and
control arms to get free movement with lots of front end travel....
Quality shocks are also a MUST on every car or suspension I do.
